Our privacy commitment

Carebridge collects only the information reasonably needed to provide resources, administer participation, communicate with you, and protect the community.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by Carebridge Collective (“Carebridge,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through this website and related online forms, membership signup, donations, provider-directory submissions, event and sponsorship inquiries, and support or general contact requests.

It does not control the independent privacy practices of healthcare providers, payment processors, social networks, media organizations, or other third parties linked from the website.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with Carebridge, we may collect:

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, organization, and role.
  • Membership and directory information: membership level, provider or organization details, service areas, specialties, public contact information, logo or professional image, listing permissions, and membership status.
  • Donation information: donation amount, billing frequency, transaction status, receipt information, and limited payment-related identifiers supplied by our payment processor.
  • Communication preferences: email or text-message choices, consent status, and related records.
  • Website information: browser, device, approximate location, referral source, pages viewed, and similar security or usage information when enabled.
  • Information you choose to provide: messages, questions, event interests, sponsorship details, or other content submitted to Carebridge.

Please do not submit medical records, diagnosis details, financial account numbers, or other sensitive information through a general website form unless Carebridge specifically requests it through an approved secure process.

3. How we use information

Carebridge may use information to:

  • respond to questions and connect visitors with requested resources;
  • process, acknowledge, and manage donations and memberships;
  • create and maintain approved provider or organization directory listings;
  • send receipts, confirmations, service notices, and opted-in communications;
  • coordinate events, sponsorships, volunteering, and community participation;
  • protect the website, prevent fraud or misuse, and maintain records;
  • improve Carebridge’s programs, communications, and website experience; and
  • comply with applicable law and enforce Carebridge policies.

4. Payments and service providers

Carebridge uses third-party services, including Stripe and SmartOwl, to support payments, forms, customer records, billing status, and communications. Payment card details are entered into and processed by the payment provider. Carebridge does not intend to store full card numbers or card security codes in its own website records.

Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Carebridge may receive transaction identifiers, amount, frequency, status, customer contact information, and other limited details needed to administer a donation or membership.

5. How information is shared

Carebridge may share information:

  • with vendors that host, secure, maintain, or support the website, forms, payments, communications, and organizational records;
  • with the public when a member authorizes a provider or organization directory listing;
  • with a provider or community organization when you ask Carebridge to make a connection;
  • when required to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
  • when reasonably necessary to protect Carebridge, website users, or the public; or
  • as part of an organizational restructuring, merger, or transfer, subject to appropriate protections.

Carebridge does not sell personal information. Carebridge does not share mobile opt-in consent with third parties for their independent marketing.

6. Email and text communications

Carebridge may send transactional messages about a donation, membership, directory listing, event, request, or account. Marketing email or text messages will be sent only when permitted by law and consistent with the choices presented when information is collected.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to an eligible text message to opt out and HELP for assistance. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase, donation, or membership. You may also use the Carebridge contact page to update communication preferences.

7. Your choices and requests

You may ask Carebridge to review, correct, or delete personal information you previously provided, subject to legal, financial, security, and recordkeeping requirements. Members may also request updates to public directory information.

You can unsubscribe from promotional email through the unsubscribe link in the message and opt out of eligible text messages by replying STOP. Removing information from Carebridge systems may not remove copies already provided to an independent third party at your direction.

8. Retention and security

Carebridge retains information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including membership and donation administration, tax and accounting records, consent records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Carebridge uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children’s privacy and health information

The website is intended for adults, including parents, guardians, providers, donors, and community partners. Carebridge does not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact Carebridge to request review or deletion.

Carebridge is a resource and community organization, not a medical provider through this website. Information submitted through general website forms may not be protected in the same way as information provided through a healthcare provider’s patient portal. Do not use the website for emergency or time-sensitive medical communication.

10. Changes and contact

Carebridge may update this policy as its services, technology, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will be revised when a material update is published.

Please also review the Carebridge Terms of Service, which govern use of the website and its donation, membership, and directory experiences.

For privacy questions or requests, contact Carebridge Collective through the Contact Carebridge page. Please do not include medical records or other highly sensitive information in a general inquiry.
